Blue Impulse in 1996:
Collecting Memories and Records of the Sky
The jets of Blue Impulse, the aerobatic team of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, have been drawing their trajectories in the sky over Japan for more than 60 years. The team shows demonstrations at public openings of Self-Defense Force bases, major national events like the Olympic Games, and various local events, leaving a strong impression among spectators. This exhibition is of 70 photographic works recording the 1996 season, when the team was on a national tour using Kawasaki T-4 aircraft for the first time. Using these photos as a catalyst, we would like to hear about your memories of Blue Impulse.
