Models, actors, dancers, performers
New and non-professional models, aspiring actors and musicians, dancers, performers, and people exploring movement or bodily expression.
Creative Collaboration / Tokyo
I’m open to collaborations with students, newcomers, and emerging creators who want to bring their own practice, role, or idea into a shared photographic project.
You bring what you do. I have been a professional photographer since 1992. Together, we shape a photographic world and make work that can live beyond the shoot.

Who this is for
A starting point and a willingness to contribute are enough. You do not need an established career or a finished proposal.
New and non-professional models, aspiring actors and musicians, dancers, performers, and people exploring movement or bodily expression.
Students and early-career practitioners who want to turn their work into strong photographs for a portfolio, presentation, or new creative direction.
Fashion, costume, graphic design, objects, music, performance, and projects that bring several creative roles together.
Looking to be photographed?
This page is for people bringing a practice, skill, performance, design, or idea into a shared project.
If your main interest is appearing in a STORY portrait as a model, the General Model Call is the more direct route.
STORY Portrait
How we collaborate
The aim is to combine different skills and points of view, then carry the photographs through to a finished form that can be shown.
An image, garment, performance, character, movement, object, place, story, or an idea that does not yet have a name can all be valid beginnings.
Light, location, composition, movement, clothing, body, and story are developed through conversation and the shoot itself.
The result may take the form of web work, a portfolio, an exhibition, a ZINE, performance documentation, or another form suited to the project.
Tokyo and the Ikebukuro area are practical starting points. The process can be informal and enjoyable while the finished photographs remain carefully made.
Depending on the project, FUJIYOSHI may be able to cover part of a modest studio cost. The location and production plan are decided according to the work.
What the photographer brings
FUJIYOSHI has worked as a professional photographer since 1992, with experience across Japanese magazine and publishing photography, portraiture, fashion, constructed images, still life, and specialist scientific photography.
Design publishing, weekly magazines, people, interviews, editorial narratives, and portraits.
Fashion-led, design-led, staged, art-directed, and concept-based photography.
Objects, materials, scientific subjects, and technically unusual photographic work.
FUJIYOSHI has been a professional photographer since 1992, beginning with AXIS and SPA!.
He has held 20 solo photography exhibitions and now moves between photography and research as a research-based photographer, while continuing to photograph and exhibit in Tokyo.
Full Professional ProfileA starting point is enough
A complete pitch is not required. A few clear lines are enough to begin a conversation.
Your role, current activity, and links to photographs, work, a portfolio, or social media if you have them.
A performance, garment, styling idea, design, object, location, character, story, or another element you want to develop.
The feeling, image, question, or direction that makes you want to create the work.
Your possible dates, base city, preferred area in Tokyo, and any location or studio needs already in mind.
Creative Collaboration
Send a few lines about who you are, what you want to explore, and when you may be available. The form requires only your name, email address, and message; other details are optional.
Creative collaboration has its own English form and is handled separately from the General Model Call.
